Essentially this installation involved removing the existing inefficient open fireplace and replacing it with one of our cast iron built in closed combustion units. Since the space was very narrow the fireplace chosen was the Strasbourg fireplace. This unit is only 550mm wide therefore is ideal for situations where space is limited. The team ran flue liners through the brick chimney and installed one of our bell cowls on the top of the chimney. The fireplace cavity was blocked off in order to keep the hot air into the house, thus only allowing smoke to exit. The cover plate is specially made by custom laser cutting with air vents in it, in order to allow for warm air recirculation and getting the maximum output from that fireplace.
“Your guys did a very neat and good job and I would happily recommend your company to anyone for installation of a new closed fireplace. Thank you to your company for a job well done.” ~ Elisabeth Steenkamp
