The Hampton Vista 500 Pedestal is a very efficient and up-to date fireplace. Its modern, clean design boasts a built-in pedestal stand, a heat shield, and a large window in a 30mm thick, cast-iron door. The thick, cast-iron fascia is fixed to the integrated pedestal stand. It comes with a newly designed, brushed chrome, push/pull handle, and a chrome dial. It can be installed closer to combustibles that other fireplaces due to its heat shield (10cm at the rear and 20cm at the sides when a twin walled flue is fitted directly to the fireplace). It’s perfect for installations against a wall, and corner installations.
The Vista 500 Pedestal features a 10mm thick steel top; 5mm thick steel sides and a removable, steel baffle plate. The vermiculite lining the combustion chamber is 30mm thick and the chamber comfortably loads 25cm logs. The internal measurements are as follows: width 33.2cm, depth 22.3cm and height 47.4cm.
The Hampton Vista 500 Pedestal is a wood-burning only fireplace and therefore doesn’t require a grate or an ash pan, as wood loves to burn on a flat base. On the side of the fireplace is a well-engineered dial which gives an incredibly accurate degree of control over the fire and the vent plate that is mechanically attached to the body. There is an option to connect to an external air intake. Included is an instruction manual, an ashpan tool, a glove for opening the door; and a removable, ‘warm to the touch’ dial cap for adjusting the dial.
The Vista 500 Pedestal is a “hybrid” fireplace, and its body is constructed from quality Q235B carbon steel that has been chosen for its plasticity, weldability, and toughness. It’s effectively ‘a stove within a stove’, where the air drawn in from the rear is fed between two layers of steel. The air is then dispersed over the fire from a series of holes high inside the rear of the chamber. This re-introduced Tertiary air re-burns the initial smoke and pollutants created by the fire. The remaining air speeds up as it rises over the fire and is released like a curtain of heat that burns the glass clean (Air Wash technology). Some fireplaces require a twin-baffle design to achieve clean combustion; however, this fireplace is one of the cleanest with just a single baffle plate. Its innovative design reduces the risk of smoke entering the room when the door is opened, offering more efficiency and convenience. This fireplace is Slow Burn Efficient.
The Hampton Vista 500 Pedestal is a high-end product which has been rigorously tested. It exceeds the SIA 2022 Eco-Design requirements, is ClearSkies approved & it comes with a DEFRA certification. It is manufactured according to European design in China for the U.K. market. It is CE and British standard approved by KIWA Gastec and comes with a 5-year limited warranty.
