Thermostatic heads, (or thermostatica radiator valves [TRV]) are components that can be installed on our wall-mounted radiators to make them even more efficient. Featuring internal temperature sensors that allow them to detect and react to ambient temperature changes, they will ensure your radiator is only ever outputting as much heat as is needed. This means that as you go from a cold morning to warm midday, the radiator's output is reduced, meaning no wasted heat on overheating an already warm room.
The target temperature is set manually on the head via a dial, and the unit varies the hot water inflow to the radiator to maintain this temperature. This inflow control mechanism is compatible with near any hot-water radiator model, regardless of heat source or boiler fuel type, and can even work alongside already installed room thermostats. They're the perfect option for fine-tuning your system's efficiency, as well as your comfort level.
